How to Install IPTV on FireStick: Easy 5-Minute Setup Guide
Hey! So you’ve got a FireStick and you’re ready to install IPTV on it? Perfect timing. This is honestly the easiest device to set up for IPTV streaming, and I’m going to walk you through it step-by-step.
Installing IPTV on FireStick takes about 5 minutes once you know the process. We’re going to use the Downloader app method because it’s the most reliable and works every single time. No tech skills needed—I promise if you can follow basic instructions, you’ve got this.
Ready? Let’s get your FireStick streaming.
What You Need Before Starting
Just three things:
- Your Amazon FireStick (any model works)
- Your IPTV login credentials (username, password, server URL)
- 5 minutes of your time

Step 1: Enable Apps from Unknown Sources
Okay, first thing - we need to tell your FireStick it's okay to install apps that aren't from the Amazon App Store.
What to do:
- From your FireStick home screen, go to Settings (the gear icon at top)
- Scroll right and select My Fire TV (older models say “Device”)
- Click Developer Options
- Turn ON Apps from Unknown Sources
- A scary warning pops up—just click Turn On (it’s totally safe, I promise)
Step 2: Install the Downloader App
Now we need a tool to download the IPTV app. Downloader is perfect for this.
What to do:
- Go back to your FireStick home screen
- Click the Search icon (magnifying glass)
- Type “Downloader” using the on-screen keyboard
- Select the Downloader app by “AFTVnews”
- Click Download or Get
- Wait for it to install (takes like 10 seconds)
- Click Open when it’s done
Step 3: Download IPTV Smarters Pro
This is where we actually get the IPTV app onto your FireStick.
What to do:
- Launch Downloader
- When Downloader opens, you’ll see a URL box at the bottom
- Type the Downloader Code for the TROYPOINT Toolbox which is 250931 and click Go.
- Click Go
- You will then see a redirect page.
- Scroll down to find IPTV Smarters Pro and click Download.
- The app will download automatically (you’ll see a progress bar)
- When it finishes, a popup asks if you want to install—click Install
- Wait about 10 seconds for installation
- Click Done (don’t delete the file yet)
Installation is now complete.
Step 4: Open IPTV Smarters Pro
Time to launch the app and get ready to log in.
What to do:
- From the installation screen, click Open
- OR go to FireStick home → Your Apps & Channels → find IPTV Smarters Pro
- The app will open to a welcome screen with login options
Step 5: Choose Login Method
Now we tell the app how to connect to your IPTV service.
What to do:
- On the welcome screen, select “Login with Xtream Codes API”
- Don’t click the other options—we just need Xtream Codes
- Enter Your IPTV Login Details : This is what most IPTV services use (including Apollo IPTV)
- Username: Type exactly as shown in your email (case-sensitive!)
- Password: Type your password carefully
- Server URL: Type the full URL including http:// (looks like
http://example.com:8080) - Give it a Name (optional—just call it “My IPTV” or whatever)
- Click Add User or Sign In
- You can now access your content for live streaming and more. Enjoy!

Pro Tips for Better FireStick IPTV Experience
1. Add Favorites Long-press the select button on any channel → Add to Favorites. Creates a quick list of your go-to channels.
2. Adjust Buffer Settings If you get buffering: Settings → Player Settings → increase buffer size to 15-20 seconds.
3. Use Fire TV App as Remote Download the Amazon Fire TV app on your phone. Way easier for typing and navigation.
4. Organize Your Apps Move IPTV Smarters Pro to the front of your apps list: long-press select → Move.
5. Enable Subtitles While watching, press Menu button → Subtitles → turn on if available.
Alternative IPTV Apps for FireStick
While IPTV Smarters Pro is my recommendation, here are alternatives:
- TiviMate (premium features, $5/year—worth it for the interface)
- Perfect Player (lightweight, completely free)
- XCIPTV (good EPG, nice interface)
All install the same way using Downloader. Just use their specific download URLs.
You’re All Set!
Congrats! You just successfully installed IPTV on your FireStick. Honestly, the hardest part was probably entering those credentials with the remote, right?
